Seven Researchers From Odisha’s SOA Named in Top World Scientists by Stanford University
Seven scientists from Odisha’s SOA Deemed to be University in Bhubaneswar have been included in the list of world top scientists by the Stanford University of the United States of America. The list has been made on the basis of a subject wise analysis of over one lakh scientists of the world.
Prof (Dr) Pradipta Kishore Dash, Prof Lala Behari Sukla, Prof Kulamani Parida, Prof (Dr) Ashok Kumar Mahapatra, Prof JC Misra, Prof RNP Choudhary and Dr Nihar Bala Devi are among the Indian scientists who have made the state proud.
Prof Dash is an eminent name in the field of energy, Prof Parida and Prof Sukla are experts in Physical Chemistry and Mining and Metallurgy respectively. Renowned neuro surgeon Prof (Dr) Mahapatra is currently acting as the Vice-Chancellor of SOA.
Prof Choudhury is an expert from the field of Applied Physics. Prof Misra, who earlier acted as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of SOA, comes from the field of mathematics. Dr Devi is currently researching in the area of Mining and
Prof Dash completed his studies from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru and was formerly acting as the Vice-Chancellor of SOA. Currently, Prof Dash is the Emeritus Professor of the SOA and leads the Multidisciplinary Research Cell of the institution.
He is an expert in the field of renewable energy, power systems, signal processing, data mining, computational intelligence, smart grid and distributed generation.
Prof (Dr) Manojranjan Nayak acts as the President of SOA, which has 13 research centres along with 42 research laboratories.
