Odisha recorded a fall in the cases of coronavirus for the fourth day in a row with 1,904 fresh cases recorded on Monday. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday the number of fresh cases were 2,196, 2,019 and 1,982 respectively.

Out of 1,904 total cases on Monday, 1,115 are being treated in home quarantine, while 789 are local contacts.

Khurda district of Odisha recorded the highest — 221 new cases — on Monday. Nuapada recorded 128 cases, Cuttack recorded 111, Angul recorded 109, Kendrapada recorded 106, Sundargarh recorded 100, Mayurbhanj recorded 93, Balasore recorded 90, Kalahandi recorded 76, Jagatsinghpur recorded 73, Sonepur recorded 73, Balangir recorded 66, Keonjhar recorded 56, Jharsuguda recorded 51, Dhenkanal recorded 50, Jajpur recorded 49, Puri recorded 49, Sambalpur recorded 44, Nabarangpur recorded 43, Ganjam recorded 39, Koraput recorded 36, Bargarh recorded 35, Nayagarh recorded 32, Malkangiri recorded 30, Boudh recorded 24, Deogarh recorded 21, Bhadrak recorded 19, Kandhamal recorded 18, Rayagada recorded 17 and Gajapati recorded two cases.

With this, the total tally of the deadly COVID-19 in Odisha reached 2,72,250, including 21,454 active cases with 2,49,575 recoveries.
