The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) interrogated Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan on Saturday, after their name surfaced in the drugs case. The case is connected to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in June this year.

While Deepika was questioned at the NCB guesthouse in Colaba, Shraddha and Sara were summoned at the zonal office in Ballard Estate, south Mumbai. Security at both offices was beefed up. Deepika was interrogated for over five hours. Meanwhile, she was also confronted with her manager Karishma Prakash.

While Sara was questioned for around four-and-a-half hours, Shraddha’s statement was recorded for nearly six hours.

Executive producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad was arrested on Saturday. Reports said that he is associated with Dharma Productions, however, Karan Johar has denied such claims.

“Mr Prasad joined Dharmatic Entertainment, a company linked to Dharma Productions, in November 2019 as one of the executive producers on contract basis for a project which eventually did not materialise,” Johar said in a statement.

On Friday, Karishma Prakash was questioned for over seven hours. Actor Rakul Preet Singh was also questioned on Friday regarding the case.

As per NCB, actor Rhea Chakraborty named Simone Khambatta, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh during her interrogation. Rhea has been arrested in the drugs case. On the other hand, Deepika’s name cropped up in a WhatsApp conversation.

So far, the NCB has lodged two FIRs. The first FIR was registered on the basis of Rhea’s alleged chat which was recovered from her cell phone. Meanwhile, the second FIR by anti-drugs agency was a suo-moto to “uproot the drug citadel in Bollywood”.
