Odisha COVID-19 Positive Man Gets Operated 2 Weeks After He Was Stabbed
Ranjit Nayak, a 21-year-old man, was stabbed by his neighbours in Chandrasekharpur area of Bhubaneswar on September 8. However, he was denied treatment by as many as 10 private and government hospitals throughout the city for 12 days before the Orissa human rights commission intervened. Nayak had tested positive for coronavirus and hospitals like SUM hospital, KIMS, Vivekananda hospital, KIDS hospital, AMRI hospital, Shriram hospital, Capital hospital, Ashwani hospital, AIIMS Bhubaneswar and SCB medical college & hospital refused to operate him despite serious injuries.
