The fresh cases of coronavirus cases in India are decreasing as the nation woke up to record 75,083 new cases on Tuesday, which is the lowest number since August. The data collected by the Union Home Ministry further states that 1,053 patients succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

In total, India’s tally of COVID-19 cases have reached 5,562,663 with 88,935 fatalities so far. The country last reported less than 75,000 daily cases on August 26. As many as 67,151 fresh cases were reported on that day.

According to the data collected by the Union Health Ministry, India has 975,861 active cases while 4,497,867 COVID-19 patients have recovered. The Tuesday morning also witnessed a record 101,468 patients getting completely fit and taking the recovery rate to an astonishing 80.85 percent.

“India has recorded very high single day recoveries successively during the last 3 days. More than 90,000 #COVID19 patients have been cured and discharged from home/facility isolation and hospitals every single day,” the Health Ministry said in a tweet.

“Kudos to India’s frontline health workers! The country achieves record high of 1,01,468 #COVID19 RECOVERIES in the last 24 hours,” the ministry added.

India is the second worst-affected country by coronavirus in the world after the United States, but the recovery rate of the nation has been the best.
