Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: Rhea Chakraborty Arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau
Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested actress Rhea Chakraborty following three days of interrogation in Mumbai. The anti-drug body was probing the narcotics angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. According to the sources as mentioned in a report published by NDTV, the actress has admitted that she used to arrange drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput and also used them at times.
Rhea, who earlier denied using drugs in various media interviews, broke down and admitted to crime following her brother Showik Chakraborty’s arrest by the NCB last week.
“Rhea has been arrested and due process of informing the family has been completed,” NCB deputy director KPS Malhotra said as quoted by Hindustan Times.
The 28-year-old actress was questioned by the NCB for about eight hours on Monday and six hours on Sunday.
Rhea’s drug racket involved her younger brother Showik, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda and one of his domestic staff members Dipesh Sawant.
The NCB started the investigation after retrieving WhatsApp chats from Rhea’s phone that had conversations around procuring drugs. On Sunday, when she was first summoned by the NCB, some of the media persons mobbed her on the arrival.
The NDTV sources revealed that on the second day of interrogation on Monday, Rhea used an emotional narrative to admit to her crime. “Whatever I did, I did for Sushant,” she told the NCB.
