Cardiologist Dr. Skand Trivedi, a doctor from Madhya Pradesh, has come up with an ingenious method to safeguard healthcare workers engaged in the fight against COVID-19. He has invented an air bubble, which is fully sealed, face-covering and transparent. The air bubble fits like a face suit and supplies virus-free compressed air to its user.

“COVID-19 basically spreads by breathing contaminated air. If our health workers are going to inhale the same air as is exhaled by the patients they are going to be in trouble. So, this way I can ensure my staff is safe while working with patients for 8 hours,” Dr. Trivedi said as quoted by NDTV.

“We have lost some of our colleagues. I’d be happy if this model is replicated by other Covid facilities as doctors and healthcare workers are not only getting COVID-19, but also dying because of it. This air bubble can be the biggest tribute to all Corona Warriors,” he added.

MP’s capital Bhopal is witnessing a surge in the cases of coronavirus with almost 85 percent beds occupied and doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers always at risk to catch the deadly virus.

After 223 people tested positive, Bhopal’s COVID-19 tally shot up to 6,490, including seven doctors. So far, six doctors have died due to COVID-19 in Madhya Pradesh.
