Mumbai Police Forced Sushant Singh Rajput’s Family To Involve Big Production Houses In Case: Lawyer
Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, girlfriend of the late actor, alleging her and five others of abetting the suicide of his son. The FIR was filed on Tuesday in Patna after the Mumbai Police refused to file an FIR as they wanted Sushant’s family to involve big production houses in the suicide case, KK Singh’s lawyer Vikas Singh said.
“FIR registered now as the family was in shock & Mumbai Police wasn’t registering FIR, but forcing them to give names of big production houses & get them involved. It was heading in a different direction,” the former Additional Solicitor General and lawyer of Sushant’s father was quoted as saying by ANI.
Vikas also thanked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Congress leader Sanjay Jha for their support. The lawyer added that Sushant’s family has not yet demanded a CBI investigation.
“Patna Police was a little hesitant but CM Nitish Kumar & Minister Sanjay Jha explained the matter to them and FIR was registered. We want the matter to be investigated by Patna Police. The family has not demanded CBI investigation yet,” he said.
All six people named by Sushant’s father in the FIR have been booked by the Bihar police.
“FIR has been registered. Preliminary investigation has begun. It is not correct to say at this point of time that who will be questioned. All those who were named by Sushant’s father in the FIR, have been booked,” Vinay Tiwari, Patna (Central) City SP, said.
