Grim Milestone: India Records 50,000 COVID-19 Cases In Single Day For The First Time
The deadly COVID-19 has continued to trouble India as the country woke up to record 50,000 cases in a single day on Sunday, making it the record highest for the nation so far. According to the data maintained by the English daily Hindustan Times, the total tally of coronavirus-infected people reached 14,34,476.
The good news is that the nation has been successful in the recovery of 9,16,505 people, 63.9 percent of the infected population. As many as 31,572 new recoveries were recorded on Sunday.
A total of 716 new fatalities on Sunday took the COVID-19 death tally to 32,811 people.
