Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sharad Arvind Bobde was all over the internet after photos of him riding a limited edition of a Harley Davidson bike on the streets of Nagpur went viral. The senior-most judge of the Supreme Court has been vocal about his love for two-wheelers and had said in an interview that he owned a Bullet once.

The viral pictures on social media show Bobde riding a Limited Edition CVO 2020 of Harley Davidson, which belongs to the son of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader.

According to a report published in India Today, Rohit Sonbaji Musale, son of Nagpur BJP leader Sonba Musale, is the registered owner of the high-end vehicle.

Sonba Musale had contested election from Saoner for BJP in the 2014 assembly election.

The Chief Justice, known for his Ayodhya verdict, was captured riding the bike at his native residence in Nagpur as he has been staying in the Maharashtra city for several weeks due to the lockdown.

Another media report has come as a contradiction. As per NDTV sources, the high-end bike was brought to the CJI by a Harley Davidson dealer for a demonstration. Justice Bobde “only sat on it” and didn’t drive the bike. The news channel’s sources added that Bobde was wearing a mask before he sat on the bike.
