Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from the Balasore Sadar constituency, Madan Mohan Dutta passed away due to cardiac arrest at the age of 61 on Wednesday. He breathed his last at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar and is survived by his wife and two children.

According to his son Manas Dutta, Madan Mohan was admitted to the hospital last week with a liver-related illness.
